Tailor-made structured products
In the last 5 years, the NPB New Private Bank, together with about 25 investment banks, has launched more than 200 structured products and made an impressive name for itself in Switzerland as an independent provider of innovative products. The NPB New Private Bank advises institutional clients in the configuration of structured products as well as the evaluation of offers from various debtors (first-class investment banks). The product solutions offered by the NPB for varying underlyings (fixed income, shares, commodities, hedge funds of funds, etc.) are attuned to the specific demands. The NPB New Private Bank strives to match the design of structured products as precisely as possible to the fundamental circumstances and income expectations.
Asset management mandates for structured products
With a broadly diversified portfolio of structured products, institutional investors have the opportunity, comparable with a separate portfolio of convertible bonds, to benefit with a part of their overall investments from the specific income and risk characteristics of these new investment instruments. On the basis of an asset management mandate for structured products, the NPB offers an actively managed portfolio with structured products which, thanks to products with an absolute or limited capital guarantee, offer a lower probability of loss than comparable share portfolios. Portfolios with structured products can also be structured in such a way that significant yields can be achieved even when stock markets are tending sideways. In addition, and thanks to the inclusion of structured products on alternative underlyings such as commodities, benefits can be achieved from the diversification features of these kinds of asset.
Asset management mandates for "Best in Class" fund portfolios
Under an asset management mandate for investment funds, the NPB New Private Bank offers institutional investors access to the world's best asset managers. As part of an active investment strategy, investments are made at regional and industry level in the best investment funds. The choice of funds is based on cooperation with a renowned provider of fund research, supplemented by the NPB's own fund research which focuses on identifying outstanding smaller and medium-sized fund managers. If, for individual markets or attractive investment themes, no investment funds can be identified which, after deduction of all the costs, sustainably exceed the relevant comparative indices, supplementary investments are made in index products (Exchange Traded Funds).
Asset management mandates for "Best in Class" fund portfolios can be in the form of bond, share or mixed mandates.
